Vroon Group and SOFTimpact implement ‘SAFETYimpact’ QHSE solution

Vroon Group, the international shipping company, decided to implement “SAFETYimpact” a QHSE software solution in collaboration with SOFTimpact, a maritime IT service provider.On the 17th of April 2019, the SAFETYimpact kick-off meeting was held in Amsterdam. The participants including the project steering group, the project teams, the QHSE managers, the keys users, active Masters and other
related stakeholders had the chance to align their understanding about the project, their roles and upcoming tasks.

The meeting participants were excited to confirm the commitment from all stakeholders towards the project guiding principles, objective and timeline. Among others the principles of: simplicity and user friendliness, the unified and familiar layout, the flexibility to allow for the current workflows and configure new in the future as needed, engaging of individual involved in the process with notifications and actions, and staying in control with the dashboard and reporting capabilities.

Vroon Group operates and manages a diverse fleet of approximately 140 vessels. All operations meet stringent safety and environmental requirements and the company’s vessels follow rigorous maintenance programmes. The SAFETYimpact software solution will cater for the diverse QHSE needs of Vroon Group across all management companies for both the Vroon office personnel as well as the crew onboard.

In full sync with the Vroon project goals and objectives SAFETYimpact will allow for the configurable workflows reducing any manual work and double entry and further improve the two-way communication between the vessels and the offices, with one point of entry for reported cases.

As part of the agreement, the SAFETYimpact standard product functionality will be further enhanced in specific area, as a result of Vroon’s business department suggestions and contribution. At the same time Vroon explicit requirements/customizations will be built-in the overall Vroon project allowing for a unified solution in the existing platform and latest technologies used.
