A few words about the project

The Shipping KPI project is a joint ship management initiative to enable the most significant effort of self regulation in shipping since the introduction of the ISMA Code.

The shipping industry realises there is a need for an international standard for defining, measuring and reporting information on operational performance in shipping. To meet this need it was decided to launch the Shipping KPI project aiming at improving the ability of the shipping industry to respond to increasing demands from society.
